Economic Development Corporation's Mission Statement
The purpose and intent of the Scott County Economic Development Corporation is coordination, administration, and overall management of economic development and marketing for Scott County.
The SCEDC, under contract with local and state units of government, will maintain a public/private partnership with and end result of advancing the improvement of the quality and quantity of life in Scott County. As part of the goals and objectives of the SCEDC, it will focus on several economic development issues.
For the industrial, commercial, and service industries, the corporation will assist with expansion plans and will strive to retain the current base of investment and jobs. Further, the SCEDC will conduct a campaign to attract a diverse segment of each industry to continue economic growth in Scott County.
The staff and corporation will further develop a communications and promotion program for the development activities with state and local governments and private sector development corporations. In addition, they will establish and maintain an office organization that will serve Scott County and its residents.
