Scott County, Indiana is located in south central Indiana approximately 90 miles south of Indianapolis, 30 miles north of Louisville, Kentucky and 110 miles west of Cincinnati, Ohio. Scott County has two cities: Austin and the county seat of Scottsburg. Scott County is located within a 300 mile radius of Chicago, St. Louis, and Nashville. Located on I-65, both Scottsburg and Austin are also served by U.S. 31. I-65 and U.S. Highway 31 provide north/south connections to Indianapolis, Louisville and other midwestern markets.

Scott County, Indiana is located within easy access of two commercial airports: Indianapolis, Louisville, and Cincinnati. Water transportation is available through Clark Maritime Center 30 miles south via I-65 on the Ohio River.
